Tamil film star Ajith Kumar is a big bike enthusiast. Known as “Thala” among his fans, the actor is celebrating his 53rd birthday this year. This year he received a special gift from his wife Shalini. He was gifted a brand new Ducati Multistrada V4 Adventure Tourer motorcycle. The pictures of the actor’s new Ducati have already surfaced on various social media platforms.

We came across several videos and pictures of Ajith’s Multistrada. It looks like his wife Shalini, who was also an actress, organized a special party for the actor on his birthday and in that party, he was gifted the bike. Many fansites have posted these pictures and videos. Ajith Kumar is a hardcore biker and has explored almost every corner of the country on his motorcycle.
The Ducati Multistrada shown here is actually a powerful adventure touring motorcycle. It looks like the Multistrada V4 which costs Rs 21.48 lakh ex-showroom. Ducati’s Multistrada motorcycle range consists of adventure touring motorcycles. Ducati offers V2, V2 S, V4 and V4 S variants in India. The Multistrada V4 variant gifted to Ajith Kumar was actually the third Ducati to receive a V4 engine.
The Multistrada V4 features a fully adjustable 50mm inverted fork and an adjustable monoshock. It features Ducati’s latest electronic system, powered by an inertial measurement unit to manage the cornering anti-lock braking system (ABS), wheelie control and traction control systems.
The bike has four riding modes: Travel, Enduro, Sport and Urban. Each of these modes adjusts the bike’s engine power, traction control and ABS settings to suit your riding style. The motorcycle is powered by a 1,158 cm³ V4 engine that produces 170 hp and a maximum torque of 125 Nm. The motorcycle also features a cylinder deactivation system that deactivates the rear cylinder bank when the motorcycle is idling.

This is not the only adventure touring motorcycle that Ajith has in his collection. He owns a BMW R1250 GS among many other motorcycles. He recently started a motorcycle touring company called Venus Motorcycle Tours. This new venture by Ajith Kumar offers guided tours. The actor recently took a group on motorcycles to explore the Western Ghats.
Before becoming an actor, Ajith Kumar worked as a mechanic. He chose this job solely because of his passion for vehicles. Later, due to his father’s wishes, he had to change careers and started working as a business developer for a family friend’s clothing export company. While working, he completed a few modeling gigs and also learned racing at a professional level. He has participated in several professional races in Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi. He even raced in the 2003 Formula Asia BMW Championship and the 2010 Formula 2 Championship.
Ajith Kumar is a person who has inspired many actors from different film industries to ride motorcycles. Malayalam actress Manju Warrier recently got a BMW R 1250 GS motorcycle after going on a bike ride in the Himalayas with ‘Thala’.
