Srikkanth added: “He played game-winning games in South Africa. Remember the game against Afghanistan where Rohit scored 100? India were 22 for 4, from then on they scored 212. Rinku played a crucial knock. He gave his all every time he played for India. This is nonsense, nonsense choice. Why do you need 4 spinners? Does everyone have to go? You made the choice to please a few people and you made Rinku Singh a scapegoat.”
Notably, BCCI announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup on April 30. The Men in Blue will also have Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, Khaleel Ahmed and Avesh Khan as traveling reserves for the showpiece event.
