Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi made an important announcement regarding the international players for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024 on Sunday, May 5.
Naqvi has announced that each player will be rewarded with $100,000 (approximately PKR 2 Crore 77 Lakh) if the Pakistan national cricket team wins the upcoming T20 World Cup in 2024.
The announcement was made by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief during his visit to the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore where the Babar Azam-led Pakistan cricket team is undergoing the national training camp that began on Saturday, May 4.

According to the PCB, Naqvi was in touch with both the national players and officials during his visit as he expressed his support to the national team and them ahead of the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup, which is expected to be co-hosted by the USA , motivated and Caribbean from June 1st.

Mohsin Naqvi explained: “I hope you will raise the green flag of Pakistan this time. Play without pressure. Compete strongly. The competition should be visible on the field. Victory will be for you and defeat for me. Don’t care about anyone. Play for Pakistan only. The nation has great expectations of you. You have to meet these expectations. Meanwhile, the Pakistan cricket team is all set to play a T20I series against Ireland and England ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup in 2024. The Pakistan players are scheduled to leave for Dublin on May 7 after their three-day camp in Lahore starting May 4-6.
The Men in Green will play three T20Is in Ireland ahead of the 2024 T20 World Cup, followed by four T20Is in England. After the T20I series in England, the Pakistan team will leave for the USA for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 for which the PCB has not yet announced the provisional squad.
However, the PCB announced that the 18-man squad for the Ireland and England T20Is will reportedly be reduced to 15 players after the first T20I against England on May 22 for the 2024 T20 World Cup, with May 25 being the final deadline is for the teams to confirm their final rosters.
