Isabela Merced can’t wait to be Hawkgirl! The Superman The actress recently spoke about how excited she is to join the DC Universe.
Despite their recent failure Madam Web, Isabela Merced is perhaps the actress fans are most excited to see join the DC Universe. Many fans are excited that she will be the next person to take up the mantle of Hawkgirl. When asked about her upcoming role in SupermanMerced admitted she might be the most excited out of everyone.
“I grew up a D.C. kid,” Merced told Collider in a recent interview. “We had the action figures and most of them were so old and used that the paint had come off… But I really loved Hawkgirl. I had Hawkgirl and Hawkman in my collection. Well, technically it wasn’t mine. It was the collection of my siblings and me. We also had Hot Wheels. We just had a really fun and beautiful childhood with it. So this is a full circle moment.”
In a world where some actors take on roles in superhero films just for the sake of it, it’s amazing to see that Isabela Merced is as in love with the character of Hawkgirl as the fans are. In fact, it seems to be every facet of what’s to come Superman The film is made with love. While that should perhaps be the standard for any reboot, it’s more than the DC Universe has managed to date!

It seems that Isabela Merced is excited to play Hawkgirl for more than just her love of the character. The actress continues to talk about her role in the DC Universe and reveals that she can’t wait to see how people react when they see her on the street. “I would be honored if people saw me on the street and just said, ‘Hawkgirl!’ “You don’t have to know my name.” She continued. “I would be honored because, you know what? It also sounds like “Hot girl!” and I’m okay with people calling me a hot girl. I’m doing well. Keep going.”
“Just like I was honored by Dora. Since these characters mean so much to other people, I’m just glad that I could potentially hold a special place in their hearts. I don’t care what it’s for or what I’ve done. As long as it means something to them, I’m really happy about it.”
Some people may wonder how superhero projects like the DC Universe can have an impact on people, but only on an object as popular as Superman can make cat calling a good thing!
