‘Summer House’s’ Jesse Solomon on ‘Juicy’ Season 8 Reunion

Jesse Solomon has a word to describe summer houseReunion in Season 8: “Juicy.”

“There’s just a lot of unexpected arguments,” the newly minted Bravolebrity, 30, tells ET over video chat. He and his co-stars filmed the meeting with all the cast Andy Cohen last week. It will air later this year.

“Lots of tears, lots of laughter,” he rattles off. “It’s everything I’d heard about a reunion. Such a lot of fighting words. “Everyone really went all out and it’s just this weird juxtaposition of, this is a reality show based on our real lives, but.” Then in real life you wouldn’t sit down and talk about what’s going on Andy Cohen as presenter happened. So it’s like we’re all friends, and some people are better friends than others.

“The girls are vicious,” he continues. “[Paige DeSorbo] really impressed me. I would never be that mean to someone, even if… yeah- maybe I would? I was just surprised by the drama. I didn’t expect it.

Jesse says Kyle Cooke And Carl Radke had the most to say during the recording, which lasted almost a day.

“Carl impressed me,” says Jesse. “I don’t know if you’ve ever had a sales job, but sometimes you just get to the stage where you’re asking and answering questions and the words just keep rolling. I think if you put a stopwatch on.” Everyone spoke the longest for their speaking time, Carl would have been the longest.

“The guy just wants to be happy and please everyone,” he says. “He has admitted that he is a people pleaser, so that will be seen at the reunion.”

However, it’s no surprise that much of the reunion would focus on Carl, as Season 8 moves toward the moment he calls off his engagement to his longtime girlfriend summer house AND Lindsay Hubbard last August. Fans will see it their breakup conversation to the season finale.

“I’ll just let you wait and see the last discussion,” Jesse teases, having already seen the encounter. “I mean, it’s what you think; it is the breaking of an engagement. It’s not nice.”

When asked if the reunion paves the way for Lindsay and Carl to both return for (possible) Season 9, Jesse jokes, “Let me grab my crystal ball…”

“How the hell should I know?” he laughs. “I hope to see you all. Everyone is great. We had a lot of fun and I would love to do it again with everyone.”

“Look, I’m not the expert on engaged couples breaking up and spending the summer in the Hamptons,” he adds. “But if anyone could do that, you know, they were friends before. You’ve seen them dating other people. So hopefully they can do it again.”

Until then, however, there is still a lot to see. Over the next few weeks, Jesse will find himself in a vulnerable position as he faces health issues. After surviving testicular cancer twice – including having one testicle removed – Jesse discovered a lump on his remaining testicle just before the fifth anniversary of his remission.

“It was just meant to be that my mother – you’ll see my mother on the show – comes to celebrate this milestone in my life, and it quickly turns into a situation where I’m just pranking myself and…” Cancer nationally “Get TV?” he says. “And I thought, well, I’m not interested in this article anymore. Let’s just make sure we don’t have cancer and focus on your health. So, yeah, it was a whirlwind of emotions. And I do too.” Super grateful to Bravo and [our production company, Truly Original], and everyone who was there for me. You know, the cast – everyone – was really supportive and I’m just grateful that I had great doctors, family and friends who supported me through this.”

While viewers have to wait and see how this all plays out, Jesse notes that he’s “alive” and appears to be feeling well. The last few months have been a whirlwind for the finance professional as he adjusts to life in the public eye.

“You can be prepared for people to say negative stuff about you, but the human brain is still not designed to read negative comments about itself on this thing called the Internet,” he muses. “After I got over it, all I see are rainbows and butterflies. It’s definitely frightening to listen to your own voice and then see yourself on top of that, but yeah, it seemed a little hot to me.”

Jesse says he hasn’t been shocked by anything that’s made it to the air; However, he is surprised by some things not appear on television.

“I mean, [Danielle Olivera] and I couldn’t cope, and [Gabby Prescod] “I didn’t like the first two weekends either,” he reveals. “It was still a rocky entry into the house, even without that.” So I’m grateful to the producers for the cuts.”

It made Jesse’s entry easier West Wilson, the other newbie of season eight. They are the first men to be known recently summer houseverses that seem to have staying power, with fans comparing their lineup to Paige and Hannah Berner joining (and reviving) the show in Season 3.

“Any time I can be in the same sentence as Paige DeSorbo, it’s truly an honor,” says Jesse. “I’m just happy about it [West and my] The connection felt real enough for everyone else to feel connected to it in some way.

West is arguably the star of the season, but Jesse is okay with letting his pal’s star shine a little brighter.

“I’m happy for West because he’s my friend and I want all my friends to succeed,” he explains. “It’s not like a Jesse or West thing. It’s like when he’s doing well, the show is doing well; I’m making good progress. It’s just been a really rewarding experience and I’m just blown away by the direct messages and comments I’m getting.”

These DMs are probably full of romantic requests too. Jesse’s dating style has been a hot topic among his housemates this season Ciara Miller He called him a “garbage bag” for his inflammatory treatment of women.

“I mean, what should I do? Like going out with a girl, realizing I don’t like her, and then keeping her around?” he asks in his own defense. “No. Then everyone would say: ‘You lead the people!’ That’s not how you should do it, so no, I’m not going to change for anyone. I strive to be the best person I can be and all I can do is be open and honest with people and my intentions. “

“It’s a tricky thing in dating,” he continues. “It’s like: When is the right time to be, what are we like? And you want to make sure both people are looking for the same thing. But it’s an art, not a science, and you just try not to be.” Damn, boy, and face it, that’s all you can do.

summer house airs Thursdays at 9pm ET/PT on Bravo. Episodes will stream the next day on Peacock.
