SRH vs RCB: Watch – Mayank Markande Peachs Through Will Jacks

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have played incredibly well with the ball in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), a credit to Mayank Markande. The 41st match of the tournament between the teams will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

After opting to bat first, Royal Challengers Bengaluru openers Faf du Plessis (25) and Virat Kohli scored quick runs at the top. They put the opposing team under pressure with their brutal power hit in the powerplay at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

However, Sunrisers Hyderabad have done incredibly well. Mayank Markande played a key role as he got the better of in-form batsman Will Jacks at the start of the innings. The leg-spinner produced a great throw and grabbed the second wicket for his team against RCB.

During the last ball of the 7th over, Will Jacks bowled a slow leg-spinner who didn’t spin much. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru batsman tried to swing it over the line but the ball went under the batsman’s blade before hitting the off-stump and knocking the batsman away.

Will Jacks, who scored a brutal half-century in the last game against KKR, managed just 6 runs off 9 balls. On the batter’s wicket, Royal Challengers Bengaluru lost their second wicket for 65 runs after making a strong start with 48 runs in the opening stand against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Earlier, Faf du Plessis perished after scoring a powerful 25-run knock. He along with Virat Kohli ensured that they came out with full power and the bat. The captain was removed by T. Natarajan in the 4th over when he was caught by Aiden Markram.

Rajat Patidar takes Mayank Markande to cleaners in IPL 2024

After Will Jacks got out, Rajat Patidar stole the limelight with his magnificent knock at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. He ensured he kept his team’s tempo high and scored some quick runs after losing two wickets in quick succession.

Rajat Patidar’s best performance came in the 11th over when he took Mayank Markande to the cleaners. The batsman hit him four times in a row, leaving the bowler looking clueless. He scored 27 runs in the over against the leg-spinner and put his team in the driver’s seat.

Rajat Patidar raced to his half-century in a flash. The batsman made his second consecutive fifty of the season but was unable to follow up as he fell immediately after. The batsman scored 50 runs off just 20 balls. He batted with a strike rate of 2 fours and 5 sixes before defeating Jaydev Unadkat.

On the other hand, Virat Kohli batted for another half-century and came out strong. But he couldn’t get going after that either. He scored 51 runs off 43 balls and his wicket dropped RCB to 140/4 the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
