SRH vs RCB: Look – Nitish Reddy Makes a Mistake as Karn Sharma Sends Him Into the Wickets Column

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Spinner Karn Sharma didn’t take long to add his name to the wickets list of the ongoing match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The 41st match of the tournament is currently underway at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad RCB vs SRH.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru bowlers are all over the Sunrisers Hyderabad batters at their home ground, the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The spinners played excellently with the ball and kept their team on top.

After Swapnil Singh took two wickets, Karn Sharma added his name to the wicket list. SRH all-rounder Nitish Reddy tried to hold on to the crease but the RCB spinner had the upper hand and provided his team with the crucial breakthrough.

During the second ball of the 8th over, Karn Sharma bowled a delivery to mid-on. Nitish Reddy went for a big reverse sweep but was beaten by the leg break. The ball then hit the top of the off-stump, sending the batsman into the air at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Here is the video:

Nitish Reddy scored just 13 runs off 13 balls. His wicket resulted in Sunrisers Hyderabad losing their fifth wicket and reeling at 69/5. The leg-spinner bowled brilliantly in the running game, putting the batters under pressure and amassing over 200 runs in total.

Karn Sharma didn’t stop there because after that he walked away Abdul Samad also in the next over in which he bowled. The leg-spinner outwitted the batsman and ensured that he helped his team to their sixth wicket with the ball at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Karan Sharma threw a long ball to the leg stump which Abdul Samad tried to hit through the on-side. The ball grabbed and spun and captured the leading edge as the ball was safely enveloped by the thrower. The batsman managed only 10 runs off 6 balls.

I was just planning my innings, I wasn’t thinking about a century – Rajat Patidar

Rajat Patidar, who played a brutal innings of 50 runs in 20 balls, talked about his batting and said that he planned his innings and took it ball by ball. He also spoke about his four sixes against Mayank Markande and said that he tried to maximize the over.

Rajat Patidar also spoke about the conditions and stated that his bowlers should use slower balls on the wicket. In an interview with broadcasters he explained:

“I think the surface is double fast, especially for fast bowlers. We can use cutters well on this wicket. The spinners will try to roll back a length as far as possible. I just planned my innings, I didn’t think about century. (4 consecutive sixes against Markande) It wasn’t a plan but I tried to make the best of it.

“When I play spinner, I try to get the maximum out of it. To score as many runs as possible in an over to keep the pressure on the bowler. I also tried to maximize the fast bowler but I will try in the next game. “(Advice to bowlers) We should use good slower balls on this wicket,” he concluded.
