Fans on Twitter reacted after Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. They defeated the KL Rahul-led side by 10 wickets at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday (8 May). 

Lucknow Super Giants opted to bat first and didn’t get off to a good start. Quinton de Kock (2), who made a comeback, was killed for just two runs. Things got worse for them when in-form batsman Marcus Stoinis (3) also got out and Bhuvneshwar Kumar showed his class with the bat.

Skipper KL Rahul (29) and Krunal Pandya (24) played important hands for the team at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. They brought their team back into the game with a 36-run partnership before Rahul was run out and the all-rounder was eliminated. 

The Lucknow Super Giants were reeling at 66-4 for four and then Nicholas Pooran (48*) and Ayush Badoni (55*) joined forces to bring their team back into the game. The duo attacked the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers and ensured that they got some quick runs. 

The Pooran-Badoni duo added 99 runs and ensured that they took their team to the top of the competition. Based on their great performance with the bat, Lucknow Super Giants scored a total of 165 runs. For SRH, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of two for twelve.

In the chase, Sunrisers Hyderabad openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head came out with full force. They wreaked havoc on the Lucknow Super Giants bowlers and blew away the opponents with their brutal batting performance. 

They managed 165 runs in just 10 overs and with 10 wickets in hand. While Head remained unbeaten on 89, Sharma scored 75* runs as Sunrisers Hyderabad won their seventh game of the season.
