Christine Brown remembers Garrison Brown on his 26th birthday. The Sister wives The star took to Instagram on Thursday to post a series of throwback pictures of Christine’s ex’s late son. Kody Brownand her sister wife, Janelle Brown.
Last month, Garrison died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was 25.
“Yesterday was Garrison’s birthday. My goodness. It was just too hard to post,” Christine wrote. “So many good times, so many memories… but not enough. ‘Behold, I see the line of my people going back to the beginning. ‘Behold, they call me. They ask me to take my place among them in the halls of Valhalla, where the brave can live forever.” #missyoualways #loveyou #happybirthday.”
The TLC star shared several photos of himself with Garrison and his siblings, including brother Gabriel Brown and Christine’s biological son Paedon Brown.
Most surprising, however, was a picture of Garrison, Gabriel and Robyn Brown‘s son, Dayton Brown, with her father, Kody Brown. Christine separated from Kody in 2021 and in recent years his relationship with his older children, particularly Garrison and Gabriel, has been estranged.
The tensions between Kody and his children have been well documented Sister wives as Kody’s other spiritual marriages began to fall apart. Kody’s only remaining wife is Robyn, after splitting from Christine, Janelle and Meri Brown.
Despite the estrangement, Kody and Robyn attended Garrison’s memorial service along with the rest of the Brown family.
Garrison was one of Janelle and Kody’s six children. He is the father of a total of 18 children.
On Wednesday, Janelle celebrated her son Garrison’s birthday with a sweet throwback video celebrating his past birthday.
“Happy Birthday darling. We miss you terribly today,” she wrote. “It’s hard to believe you’re not here anymore. We talked a lot about you today and even went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse (your favorite place 😀). Sometimes I still feel you near me. And I’m grateful that we’ll see each other again.” different again when my trip is over.
ET spoke with Janelle and Christine in November 2023 about Kody’s estrangement from some of his family members. At the time, Janelle said that Kody wanted to have a better relationship with his children.
“I think that’s probably the goal, right? He will eventually figure out how to build a relationship with his children. I hope it works out over time,” she told ET.
