Selma Blair has put down her cane at the Fashion Trust Awards 2024.
Blair, 51, walked the red carpet without her cane on Tuesday, April 9, for the first time since her multiple sclerosis remission in 2021. The actress looked ethereal in a double-breasted blazer dress with white and silver buttons and large pockets. She accessorized with a shell necklace with a gold pendant, a shimmering clutch, a chunky ring, and black and silver pumps.
For glamour, Blair wore smoky eyeshadow, filled in eyebrows, pink lips and rosy cheeks. She pulled her blonde hair back at the roots and tormented it.
Blair brought her cane to the red carpet at the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscar Party last month. For the party, she wore a peach midi dress with a cutout across the bust and a black bra. She paired the A-line dress with her black cane and sparkly heels.
Blair’s makeup consisted of dark eyeliner and pink lips. She pushed her curls to the side and smiled at the camera.
Over the years, Blair has been open about using a cane. It opened in April 2023 Fashion about their “emotional and physical connection” to the walking device.
“I come into my voice and my body as soon as I stop [it]” she told the publication. “I know it increases visibility. So many younger people have started to publicly embrace their sticks more. I think representation is important. If I can help eliminate stigma or excessive curiosity about someone else in a crowd, then that’s great.”

In November 2023, she shared a health update at the 2023 Glamor Women of the Year Awards.
“My health is good,” she said Entertainment tonight. “I have been in remission since having a bone marrow transplant to stop the progression of MS, which had been painful for many, many years.”
She added: “I really, really feel a lot stronger now and building endurance.”
