In the wake of Justin Bieber and his wife, Hailey Bieber‘S, Pregnancy announcement, Selena Gomez took to Instagram to share a heartfelt moment with her boyfriend Benny Blanco.
On Thursday, the 31-year-old actress and singer posted a sweet photo with Blanco, 36, on her Instagram Story. The black-and-white snapshot showed Selena and Benny holding hands, seemingly snuggled up under a blanket. Alongside the cozy picture, Selena included promotional shots from her show, Selena + Chefwhere she shows off her cooking skills with a Texas barbecue twist.
In another photo shared by Selena, she and Benny are seen posing with a large group that includes her Just murders in the building Co-Stars: Martin Short and Steve Martin.
Although the timing of the posts coincides with her ex-boyfriend’s baby news, Selena has refrained from publicly commenting on the matter.
Selena’s relationship with Justin has been in the public eye for years, particularly in light of his eventual marriage to Hailey. However, Selena has always shown her support for Hailey and stressed that there is no animosity between them.
In an Instagram post In March 2023, Selena addressed the negative attention towards Hailey, stating, “No one should have to experience hate or bullying.” Similarly, Hailey has defended Selena against unfounded rumors and expressed her frustration with the narrative that pits women against each other.
A rep tells ET that Hailey is six months pregnant and that she and Justin are “excited to be expecting a baby together.” They’ve wanted this for a long time and can’t wait to expand their family and bring a child into the world.”
The source added: “Hailey and Justin are on the same page and are on the same page when it comes to parenting. They have experienced so much together as a couple and feel ready to take this next step in their lives and relationship. Hailey is one of those.” The natural caregiver and Justin knows she will be the best mother, and Hailey has always believed that Justin will be a great father. Hailey, her family and loved ones are so happy about this wonderful blessing.
Before the big announcement, 30-year-old Justin and 27-year-old Hailey made no secret of it They wanted to have children together.
In an interview with Vogue ArabiaHailey explained: “I love children and can’t wait to have my own. I would say that’s a closer reality now.”
Justin has also talked about having children with his wife. In an emotional Instagram message, he explained that he was taking a break from music to focus on your mental healthand also mentioned that he wanted to be a father.
“I’m very focused now on resolving some of the deep-rooted issues that I have, like most of us, so that I don’t fall apart, so that I can maintain my marriage and be the father that I want to be,” he said wrote. “Music is very important to me, but nothing comes before my family and my health.”
A source previously told ET that the singer “always wanted to be a young dad” and he did he and Hailey discussed their plans to have children.
“[Justin’s] “The parents were young when they had him,” the source noted, referring to the fact that Pattie Mallette and Jeremy Bieber were 18 when the singer was born. “He always loved the relationship between them and that it was more of a friendship.”
“Justin and Hailey have talked about kids and it’s a priority for them,” the source continued. “They want to be in the right place before they have kids: have a home, be married and Justin be in a good state of mind. The couple wants to have some children and their friends wouldn’t be surprised if that happened soon.”
In 2021, Justin said he wanted to start having children in his Amazon Prime documentation, Justin Bieber: Our World.
“My intention for 2021 is to continue setting goals while having fun,” he said. “Make sure I put my family first. And hopefully we can get a little bit out of it.”
Hailey appeared shocked and replied, “In 2021?!” to which Justin asked, “End of 2021? Shall we start trying?”
A source also told ET in February 2022 that the couple “I want to have a big family one day.”
“They both know what great parents they will be together,” the source said. “They both feel that part of the reason they were on Earth was to be parents. This has been instilled in them from day one and they are excited to make it happen.”
