Schneider Electric Malaysia Launches Electric Vehicle Public Chargers in PJ – 22kW AC, 180kW DC, RM1-1.60/kWh – Paultan.org

Schneider Electric Malaysia today launched its DC fast charger for electric vehicles in Petaling Jaya at its headquarters premises in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, at Plaza 33 on the corner of Jalan Kemajuan and Jalan Semangat.

The DC fast charging at this location consists of a Schneider Electric EVLink Pro DC 180 kW charger with two CCS2 combination charging guns with dynamic charging function for charge distribution when both charging guns are used at the same time.

There are also two 22 kW AC chargers, each with a Type 2 connection, so that there are a total of four charging stations for vehicles on the site. The price is RM1.60 per kWh for DC charging and RM1.00 per kWh for AC charging. The idle charge for these charging stations is RM10 per 30 minutes.

Launched in collaboration with local electric vehicle charging station operator JusEV, Schneider Electric Malaysia has entered into an agreement with JusEV to install more than 100 electric vehicle chargers this year, 10% of which will be DC fast chargers in commercial buildings, the company said.

Access to the public charging points is via the JusEV mobile app, which is available in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. Each charging point has a QR code that must be scanned via the app before charging begins.

Alternatively, payment for charging at this location can also be made at a payment terminal next to the DC fast charger, which accepts payments with Visa and MasterCard credit cards, Touch ‘n Go eWallet, GrabPay and ShopeePay.

These 100 electric vehicle chargers will be deployed at 30 electric vehicle charging stations opening this year and these will mainly focus on the states of Selangor and Johor, JusEV managing director Jason Wong said.
