With the federal tax credit, an introductory leasing assistance program, and a Tesla poaching incentive, leasing an Acura ZDX is surprisingly affordable

Acura has just started delivering its first all-electric model to American customers and is already offering attractive discounts on the ZDX. The deals are especially good for lessees, who could benefit from discounts of more than $11,000 depending on what they drive to the dealer.
According to the Department of Energy, the ZDX is eligible for $7,500 in federal tax credits regardless of whether a customer chooses to lease or purchase it. When it comes to leasing, the finance company offering the vehicle through leasing is technically the party receiving the loan, but in the case of the ZDX, Acura passes on the full value of the incentive to the lessees.

Acura is entering a very competitive electric vehicle market and is also offering a $2,875 launch lease support program, according to a dealer release from Cars Direct. This brings the value of potential rebates to up to $10,375 for the ZDX A-Spec.
In the grand tradition of infomercial pitchers, Acura says, “But wait, there’s more!” The automaker is offering current Tesla owners a $1,000 discount on the ZDX or current Acura renters a $1,000 loyalty discount , bringing the potential savings to up to $11,375.
All the discounts mean the ZDX could be cheaper to own than the MDX, despite a higher MSRP. Although the suggested price for the EV is $65,850, the discounts reduce the effective monthly lease cost to $749 compared to the combustion engine SUV (with Tech Package), which has an MSRP of $58,400 and effective monthly cost of $770.
