The 56th match of IPL 2024 was played between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The two teams appeared to be in a competition where both were on the same level.
Delhi Capitals won the match as RR again failed to handle the runchase well. The game ended with a 20-run lead between the two teams. This means that RR maintains its place in the points table.
DC scored 53 in the last three overs and Rajasthan Royals managed just 20 runs. For the second time in a row, RR failed to pursue a goal and remained unfazed in the points table. At the post-match ceremony, RR captain Sanju Samson addressed the audience and made a statement as they lost the game.
Sanju said the team was doing well but the DC skippers were making it harder for them to control the finishing runs.

Samson also praised DC opener Fraser McGurk for his exceptional batting performance.

Sanju Samson, in the post-match statement, elaborated on the team’s mindset and added that RR has lost only three games in this IPL season and is now at the second position in the points table.
