Sam Asghari “Feels terrible” after ex-wife Britney SpearsIncident at Chateau Marmont.
“Sam will always have a soft spot for Britney and will always protect her,” a source tells us exclusively Us weekly, adding that the situation was “heartbreaking” for Asghari. “Sam is a helper and was there for her in her most difficult times. He hopes she’s okay.”
Asghari, 30, and Spears, 42, were together for a total of seven years, and he filed for divorce in August 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences” after 14 months of marriage. The couple finalized their divorce on Thursday, May 2nd. Us weekly confirmed.
Although the exes are “no longer communicating”, Asghari found the situation at Chateau Marmont “definitely concerning” after officers were called to the scene on Thursday.
“Sam has been down this road with Britney before and knows how she feels,” the source continues, noting that Asghari “feels terrible when she’s not surrounded by positive people in her life.”
Despite their separation, Asghari will “always want.” [Spears] the best and would be there for her if she needed him.”

On the same day her divorce was finalized, Spears sparked concerns about her health when she was photographed emerging from Chateau Marmont in pajama pants, wrapped in a blanket and clutching a pillow.
“She twisted her ankle going down the stairs so the ankle was treated. She is doing well,” a separate source said exclusively Us weekly by the time.
The second source mentioned that Spears was dating his boyfriend on and off. Paul Richard SolizHe also went to the hotel for dinner with his son and visited the singer in her room.
“Britney was upset when Paul tried to leave the hotel after visiting her room,” the second source said. “They didn’t have a fight, but Britney was upset. There were no cuts or scratches from her fall.”
Other sources have told it Us that those closest to Spears are worried about her relationship with Richard Soliz, with one insider saying they want him “out of the picture.” Another insider noted that Asghari is good for Spears. “Sam is a very structured person, she works out and eats well and she was having a hard time adjusting to all of that, but she needed someone like him,” the source said. “He provided a good structure.”

Spears released a statement on social media on Thursday, posting two similar messages before and after the incident came to light.
“Most of the pictures are body doubles and I think most people know that!!! I want respect during this time so that people understand that I am getting stronger day by day [sic]!!!” she wrote alongside a now-deleted Instagram picture of a shirtless male model. “The truth sucks, so can someone teach me how to lie???”
She continued, “Goddesses out there, I am reaching my higher power and moreover, I hope you do too!!!” I need a new toothbrush immediately!!! PS…I need an espresso!!! PSS…I’m not sure why I feel the need to share this…I guess I’m just a girl and on my period so I’m bitchy…shit!!!”
After deleting her first post, she posted another message explaining: “[I] I twisted my ankle last night and paramedics showed up at my door illegally.” She added: “They never came to my room but I felt completely harassed. I’m moving to Boston!!! Peace.”
Asghari has not publicly responded to the incident, but he posted a shirtless photo on Instagram on Thursday.
“Life update 😁,” he wrote to caption a snap of himself hiking with his dog.
