After the shooting outside his apartment in Mumbai, several investigative teams were actively looking for clues. After earlier reports suggested that Mumbai Police had named two suspects, Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta, two suspected arms suppliers were recently identified in connection with the case: Sonu Subhash Chander and Anuj Thapan. According to reports in ANI, they have all been charged under MCOCA. Officials were quoted in the recent report confirming developments in the case, adding: “All defendants have been charged under sections 3(1)(2), 3(1)(3) and 3(1)(4). . from MCOCA”.

After Anmol Bishnoi allegedly claimed responsibility for the shooting in a Facebook post, law enforcement agencies issued another Look Out Circular (LOC) against him. Furthermore, despite his imprisonment, Lawrence Bishnoi was named as the prime suspect in the case due to the collection of extensive evidence.

Following the arrest of the accused, the law enforcement agencies have also made several more breakthroughs in the investigation, including the discovery of a firearm and live cartridges in the Tapi river in Gujarat and the discovery of footprints of one of the suspects, Vicky, which were also traced during her escape attempt Bhuj, Gujarat.

Additionally, Delhi Crime Branch officials also reportedly conducted a three-hour interrogation of Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta, extending their detention from April 25 to April 29. Meanwhile, the Esplanade Court in Mumbai has allowed both arms suppliers to remain in the custody of the Mumbai Crime Branch till April 30, according to reports by ANI.
