Indonesian teenage offspinner Rohmalia Rohmalia created cricket history during a women’s T20I match against Mongolia. Rohmalia Rohmalia recorded the best bowling figures in the history of men’s and women’s Twenty20 international cricket on Wednesday, April 25.
Rohmalia Rohmalia made her international debut in the fifth T20I of the series against Mongolia in Bali. Rohmalia took seven wickets without conceding a run. The young bowler dismissed seven batters for Ducks, setting a new record for the best bowling figures in all T20Is.
Rohmalia Rohmalia surpasses Frederique Overdijk’s Dutch record
The 17-year-old bowler surpassed the previous record set by Dutchwoman Frederique Overdijk. She became the third bowler in Women’s T20I to take seven wickets in a match. Argentinian bowler Alison Stocks also took seven wickets for three runs in a match against Peru.

Indonesia gets a clear win against Mongolia
Indonesia posted a total of 151 for the loss of five wickets after electing to bat first. Ni Putu Ayu Nanda Sakarini was the standout performer, scoring 61 runs off 44 balls including six boundaries and a six. Mendbayaar Enkhzul picked up four crucial wickets for 29 runs in her four overs.
In reply, Mongolia bowled just 24 runs in 16.2 overs. Indonesia secured a resounding victory by 127 runs. Rohmalia Rohmalia had a notable impact on the game by taking a wicket with her first ball. Rohmalia bowled just 3.2 overs and didn’t concede a single run from his bowling.
Rohmalia also contributed with the bat in the fifth T20I, scoring 13 runs off 15 balls, including a boundary. Rohmalia failed to take a wicket in the last T20I match, giving away nine runs in three overs. Indonesia ended the series with a 6-0 win on Thursday.
