“Rohit Sharma Was Frustrated with Rajat Patidar Before the Dharamsala Test” – Kuldeep Yadav’s Sensational Revelation

Indian Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav has revealed extensive information about Rohit Sharma’s frustration with Rajat Patidar that led to Devdutt Padikkal’s Test debut in March.

Rajat Patidar, who made his Test debut for the Indian team during the Test India Vs England 5-match Test series, was replaced by Devdutt Padikkal in the final Test. Many of us still think that Patidar was left out of the starting XI due to his poor form, but the reality is different.

Kuldeep Yadav admits that Rajat Patidar was injured and Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid were forced to give Padikkal his debut

While speaking exclusively to renowned sports journalist Rohit Juglan, Kuldeep Yadav made some unheard and unknown revelations. After missing the first Test in Hyderabad, Kuldeep played all remaining four Tests in Vizag, Rajkot, Ranchi and Dharamsala. Therefore, no one except him will know better about Rajat Patidar’s situation in the show.

The Madhya Pradesh-based batsman was brought in as a replacement for Virat Kohli, who had taken a three-month paternity leave. In the 1st Test, KL Rahul was the one who batted in Kohli’s position. However, after Rahul’s injury in the first Test, Rajat Patidar was entrusted with the number 4 position in all the remaining Tests in which India emerged victorious with brilliant victories.

But things didn’t go well for Rajat Patidar. The right-handed batsman, whose technique is simply visually appealing, failed to score runs and made no impact from No. 4. Patidar came into the team with a lot of promise but all that quickly faded away.

Although Rajat Patidar made good starts, he failed to convert them into big successes that would have given him a chance to establish himself in the eleven. In the three Tests he played, Patidar scored scores of 32 and 9 (Vizag), 5 and 0 (Rajkot) and 17 and 0 (Ranchi). Ahead of the 5th Test at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala, Patidar was not allowed to start due to his poor form.

While most of us thought that his loss of form was the reason for his exclusion from the 5th Test, Kuldeep Yadav has revealed that he was actually injured. During net sessions, Rajat Patidar was hit by a ball on his left ankle, which was already injured. This hit aggravated Patidar’s pain and hence he was unavailable for the final Test.

Kuldeep reveals that Rohit Sharma wanted to see Patidar score runs.

After finding out, Indian captain Rohit Sharma was extremely frustrated as he wanted to give Patidar another chance to score runs in the series. Kuldeep Yadav admitted that the Indian captain has a soft spot for players and wants to help them score runs for the country.

But with Rajat Patidar unfit, that couldn’t happen, but the door opened at the perfect time for Devdutt Padikkal to make his senior debut.

“This matter may not have come out, but I would like to say that Rajat Patidar (Rohit Sharma) was very frustrated when he got injured in Dharamsala. He was frustrated with how he got hurt because he had so much support, he supports every player in the locker room.

“He wanted Patidar to score runs because he hadn’t been in the series before. But that couldn’t happen as he was no longer fit and was hit by the ball at the spot where surgery had been done in the past.” – Kuldeep Yadav exclusively told Rohit Juglan.
