TORONTO, May 7, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — On today’s episode of Canada has talent At Citytv#CGT judges – Howie Mandel, Lilly Singh, Trish Stratus, Kardinal Offishall – and presenter Lindsay Ell selected the first six of eight acts before the two-hour live final aired Tuesday, May 14th at 8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT on Citytv and Citytv+.     (Carbonear, NL) thrown out”The winner takes all’ by ABBA and won the hearts of the audience.
  • Lindsay Ell’s golden buzzer TOGETHER FOR PEACE
    (LIt isvisquality control) used sand art as an expression of the state of the world.
  • Toronto Maple Leafs anthem singer NATALIE MORRIS (Toronto, ON) stretched out her lungs “I was there” by Beyoncé, which made the judges and audience cheer and receive a standing ovation. In an unexpected twist, all the judges surprised Natalie with a group Golden Buzzer, giving her $25,000 from CIBC and a spot in the finals!
  • Dance duo RADIO ANOMETRY (Vancouver Island, BC) performed an epic dance routine during which Lilly said, “I think you’re the number I want to see over and over again.”
  • comedian TRAVIS LINDSAY (Halifax, NS) made jokes that led the judges to call him incredibly “connectable.”
  • Trish’s Golden Buzzer, comedian STERLING vs. SCOTT (Edmonton, AB), joked about the jury and his children before being heckled by an audience member. The judges praised Sterling’s quick thinking and sharp comebacks!
  • Lilly’s Golden Buzzer, singer REBECCA STRONG (Prince Albert, SK)She sang Olivia Rodrigo’s “Driver’s license.” Howie explained, “Your performance tonight was a dream come true.”
  • wizard MARK LEWIS (Toronto, ON) Kardi played a hilarious card trick that left everyone in awe and wondering how he did it.
  • wizard MARK CLEARVIEW (Toronto, ON) impressed the audience and jury alike with his theatrical performance, his humor and his magic tricks. Howie surprisingly hit a Golden Buzzer for Mark, which earned him $25,000 from CIBC and sent him straight to the finals!

The winner of Canada has talent‘s Million Dollar Season will receive a life-changing $1 million prize thanks to Rogers – the largest cash prize in Canadian television history – as well as financial advice from CIBC. And that’s not all! Each Golden Buzzer recipient will receive $25,000 (for a total of $200,000) courtesy of CIBC to help them realize their ambitions.
