Rob Marciano Has Been Fired as “Good Morning America Meteorologist”!

Rob Marciano is unemployed.

The longtime ABC News and Good Morning America meteorologist is no longer with the company, a source has confirmed to multiple news outlets.

The reason Why however, remains a mystery.

Marciano had been with ABC News since 2014, taking on a role on the show’s widely-watched morning show previously occupied by Ginger Zee…who now appears in that franchise during the weekday shows.

Before his official departure, the broadcaster was temporarily banned from the network’s studio in New York City – reportedly due to alleged inappropriate behavior.

However, he continued to report on the weather outside Locations.

“He was found to have done something … that was improper, but he was punished for it and they still haven’t let him back,” an insider told Page Six in March 2023.

At the time, the same media outlet claimed that Marciano was struggling with “anger” issues while going through a divorce after 11 years of marriage.

“He made people feel uncomfortable. “There was a time when there were some problems and a number of alarming events,” a second source said last year.

After his divorce filing was made public, Marciano said the following:

“The last few years have been very difficult. I didn’t want that and tried to save the marriage, but unfortunately we’re getting divorced. My focus now is on my children.”

Marciano previously worked as an anchor for Entertainment Tonight and as a meteorologist and anchor for CNN.

Before taking on these gigs, he worked at local television and radio stations including KATU in Portland, Oregon, KPLC-TV in Lake Charles, Louisiana and WVIT in West Hartford, Connecticut.

In September 2023, Marciano celebrated the start of his 10th year with the network, writing via Instagram:

“I couldn’t be more motivated to continue this journey with all of you.”

“My thanks go to the bosses who listened and made this work-life balance possible. I’m also grateful for an exciting new project with NatGeo where I get to explore some very, very cool things… there’s more to come!”

Unfortunately, it can be.

But as an ABC employee, it won’t come.

While ABC has yet to comment on Marciano’s firing, we have heard that executive producer Simone Swink has decided to ban Marciano from the premises in 2023.

“She is matter-of-fact and very serious,” an insider previously said. “She is focused on the work and wants to keep going [her staff] focused and happy. She’s very protective of her team.”
