Rishabh Pant Says, “Even if We Lose or Win, We Will Keep Our Heads Down and Carry On” as DC Wins IPL2024 Match Against RR

Delhi is full of excited energy after today’s match between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

The game started with a toss that went in favor of Rajasthan Royals. Their captain, Sanju Sampson, decided that their team should bowl first. This resulted in Delhi Capitals batting in their first innings and scoring a total of 221/8. RR seemed unable to achieve the target as they were unable to chase down the target and lost the match by 20 runs.

For DC, this is the fifth win in the last seven games and one that will taste even sweeter after the 7-wicket defeat in the previous game. They next face RCB in Bengaluru on Sunday.

“We will keep our heads down and carry on,” says Pant

After the big win that saw DC finish in the middle of the points table, Rishabh Pant highlighted how the team is focusing on its gameplay instead of focusing on its games.

He said that the team is more focused on the upcoming games rather than thinking much about their wins or losses.

“The way our bowlers performed at the back end was the biggest positive and it was really nice to see. We will try to learn from every game. Even if we lose or win, we will keep our heads down and keep moving forward,” Pant said

Pant praised Kuldeep Yadav and added that Kuldeep did not miss the target and delivered the game as expected.

“Kuldeep delivered as usual, which was great to see. “It was almost equivalent and at the same time we thought it would be fair if we could limit them to 200 and that was the thought process,” he added.

Jam in the middle of the table

The middle position of the points table is now flooded with teams who have scored 12 points so far.

DC became the latest addition to this 12-point club after winning the game against RR on Tuesday.

The midfield of the table now faces a jam with four teams stuck on 12 points. CSK SRH DC LSG – in the same order.

In Wednesday’s IPL 2024 match, the competition will take place in Hyderabad when SRH will face sixth-placed LSG. The winner will end up in third place and the loser may move a little closer to the start of the exit gate.

The race for the IPL 2024 playoffs is therefore becoming more and more exciting day by day.
