Riley Keough says she would be honored to be nominated for all the awards for her new show. Under the bridge.
In conversation with ET’s Rachel Smith 2024 Met GalaThe 34-year-old actress shared that while it wasn’t her goal for the Hulu show, it’s always nice to be recognized for hard work. She would know something about that too Nominated for 2023 for Daisy Jones and the Six.
“It’s like you never know, so I guess I’m just glad that people are watching the show and loving it,” she said Monday night. “The other stuff is like, you know, I don’t like to think about it because it’s about the work and the people watching it and I’m just happy that people are enjoying it.”
In the series, Keough plays Rebecca Godfrey, the author of the novel “Under the Bridge,” written about the 1997 murder of fourteen-year-old Reena Virk (Vritika Gupta). The show also plays along Flower Moon Killer Oscar nomination Lily Gladstonewho plays a police officer tasked with investigating Virk’s death.
Keough – who has a young daughter, Tupelo Stormwith husband Ben Smith-Petersen – said that although her mini-me couldn’t be at the event, she was excited to come home and show her all the photos from the evening.
“I’m sure she’ll love the embroidery,” she said of her dress, a stunning and simple gown with a floral pattern at the top, a sheer midsection and a black tiered bottom. She told ET that the ensemble took “months” to create, and after a few tweaks, she couldn’t be prouder of the final product.
“Oh my God, months, I mean a few months,” she shared of the timeline. “There was kind of a version of it, and then it got tweaked over time, and now we’re here.”
It’s been a busy year for them Zola Actress who attended the 2023 Emmy Awards as a nominee earlier this year. She brought her grandmother, Priscilla Presley, as her date told ET that she was “lucky.” to have her with you.
“It’s very special,” she said at the time. “I am here with my grandmother and my husband. I’m lucky to have a family here that supports me.”
More recently, Keough open for ET about her interesting and experimental film Jesse Eisenberg, Sasquatch sunset, in which they wore full-sized Sasquatch suits to play their characters in the film. They hilariously discussed what it was like filming the project and potentially scaring passersby.
“There were a few [of] Times when we sat on the street… and truck drivers passed by. And we sat there and I could never see their faces, but I’m sure it was funny,” Keough shared.
In addition to her Emmy nomination and her new film, there’s Under the Bridge Gladstone, 37, said Because of Keough, she felt inclined to join.
“When I heard Riley had a connection, I really wanted to – I’ve wanted to work with her for a long time, so it gave me a lot of confidence too,” Gladstone shared in April.
She added: “There was a little bit of hesitation about committing a true crime so soon after.” Killer of the Flower Moon, But I knew it would be a very compassionate, deep dive into the story with Riley not only starring but also acting as EP.”
