Rihanna, 36, revealed she sometimes feels “damned” next to Rocky, 35, because of his impeccable wardrobe. “Isn’t he the best?” Rihanna said Interview magazine in a profile on Tuesday, April 9, when editor Mal Ottenberg praised Rocky’s “good taste.”
“I feel totally depressed next to this man. I feel like, damn, I look like his assistant,” Rihanna told the publication. “I’m getting on a plane. We should start sweating. He wants to wear a full Bottega suit. I ask myself, “Why do you have to do this to me?”
While Rihanna certainly can keep up when it comes to fashion, the “Umbrella” singer revealed that since becoming a mother, she’s focused more on dressing her boys than herself. When she gets dressed up, she prefers to wear clothes that are comfortable for her little ones when she rocks and carries them.
Rihanna and Rocky have sons RZA, born in May 2022, and Riot, whom they gave birth to in August 2023.
“I spend my time dressing the kids to death, and then I ask myself, ‘What’s the most comfortable outfit to wear around them?’ What won’t feel uncomfortable on her face or body or make me feel like I can’t hold her properly? “Moms are lazy clothes wearers in real life,” Rihanna explained in the interview.
Rihanna’s “lazy” outfits are still more put together than the average person’s casual attire.
At a dinner at her favorite Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Los Angeles on April 6, Rihanna was a must-have in a silk cape coat paired with a graphic tee, wide-leg jeans, and pointed heels. She accessorized with a series of pearl necklaces, a Dior saddle bag and black sunglasses. Rihanna wore her freshly blonde locks in a chic chignon.
