“We publish every page, but for legal reasons we redact most of a page in the UK edition with some other small redactions and an explanation,” a Harper Collins spokesman said The New York Times in a statement on Thursday, April 25. “These sections are a very small part of a much larger story.”
The international release dates of Rebel uprising had been stopped following a legal dispute between Baron Cohen, 52, and Wilson’s publishers.
Wilson, 44, made headlines earlier this month when she accused Baron Cohen of harassment on the set of her 2016 film The Brothers Grimsby. Wilson claimed that Baron Cohen – the film’s writer, producer and star – asked her to take off her clothes despite her “no nudity” rule.
“I felt like every time I spoke to SBC he mentioned that he wanted me to be naked in a future scene. I thought, ‘Ha, I don’t do nudity, Sacha,'” she added in the memoir.
Wilson claimed that Baron Cohen asked her to “put her finger in his ass because he thought it would make a funny scene in the movie,” claiming, “It felt like that [he] had sexually harassed me.”
Baron Cohen has denied the allegations. “While we recognize the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly refuted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporary documents, film footage and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby “said a spokesman for the actor Us weekly.
Wilson noted in an interview with that “this isn’t about canceling anyone.” The New York Times earlier this month. “It’s part of my story — my memoir,” she said. “And I get to write about what happened to me and how it made me feel.”
