More details on Bryan Abasolo’s request for spousal support for Rachel Lindsay

According to court documents obtained by US Weekly, Absalo filed the request earlier this month. Additionally, the 44-year-old is reportedly demanding that his estranged wife cover $75,000 of his legal fees.

Abasolo reportedly claims that Lindsay is using their shared funds to pay for her divorce expenses. However, she has forbidden him from doing the same.

“I am informed and believe that Rachel used our community property funds to pay her divorce attorney and forensic accountant, while at the same time refusing to give me access to our community property funds to pay my divorce attorney, my forensic accountant, or anything else of my personal expenses,” Abasolo’s filing states, according to the outlet.

Additionally, Abasolo claims he “put his career as a chiropractor on hold” to support Lindsay’s career.

“These moves were detrimental to my chiropractic business while Rachel’s income and success as a media personality skyrocketed,” the filing continues.

The estranged husband supports his spousal petition

According to Abasolo, Lindsay’s successful career as a lawyer and media personality provided them with an “upper-class marital standard of living.” The estranged husband explained that they often dined at celebrity hotspots and flew first class.

However, his lifestyle reportedly took a setback after their breakup.

According to the outlet, Abasolo claims he makes $1,300 a month. However, this amount is less than his fixed expenses, which reportedly include $6,500 in rent and $1,500 in groceries.

Additionally, Abasolo wants Lindsay’s financial support so he can move out of their shared home in Los Angeles.

“Rachel and I live together in our family home, but neither of us wants to continue living together. Our current life situation is very difficult and tense. “I would like to move out of our family home as soon as possible, but maintaining our standard of living is not financially feasible at this time,” his filing reads, according to PEOPLE.

Despite his request to move, Abasolo reportedly believes he is entitled to “half” of their shared home.

The outlet notes that Lindsay has not yet responded to her estranged husband’s recent filing.

A recap of the couple’s breakup

As The Shade Room previously reported, Abasolo filed for divorce from Lindsay in January. The couple had been married for about four years at this point.

Furthermore, Abasolo cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce. Additionally, the chiropractor shared a statement upon news that his proposal had become public.

Lindsay finally broke her silence on the matter days after her estranged husband filed.
