Next up, Punjab Kings will take on Chennai Super Kings in back-to-back matches in IPL 2024. They first play in Chennai on May 1st next in Dharamsala on Sunday, May 5th.

They come into this game after a record-breaking comeback against KKR. They hunted 161 and still had more than one left. Despite the win, PBKS is in eighth place in the points table.

The win did not accurately reflect how inconsistent they had been throughout the season. Their win was against PBKS mostly due to the nature of the wicket at Eden Gardens which was flat as a tank.

Playing back-to-back games against CSK will be their real challenge. It will be interesting to see if their batters can stay consistent against them CSK where they will play in very different conditions.

The PBKS management is sweating over the return of Shikhar Dhawan her Captain. He has now missed four straight games for the franchise. If he doesn’t return, the Kings might want to play with the same team that won against KKR.
