Price and Specifications of the Genesis GV80 2025

Genesis’ rival to the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE has received a mid-life update, gaining a new coupe SUV brother to take on the BMW

The 2025 Genesis GV80 and GV80 Coupe are available now.

While the GV80 Coupe is offered overseas with a 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged V6 with a 48V electric supercharger producing 309kW of power and 549Nm of torque, that powertrain doesn’t come here, there it is only available with left-hand drive.

Instead, the Australian market GV80 Coupe features the same 3.5 liter V6 with two turbochargers like the GV80 wagon, producing 279kW And 530 Nm.

The former entry-level 2.5-liter turbo-petrol engine was locally canceled for the 2024 model year, and it is now followed by the 3.0-liter turbo-diesel six-cylinder after its global cancellation.

The GV80 and GV80 Coupe also come standard with the features of the old $10,500 Luxury package, increasing the range’s starting price by $24,300.

The six-seat version includes all the equipment of the pre-update model’s six-seat Luxury package for $13,500.

Compared to the pre-facelift model with the luxury package, the price increase is lower at $9,300 (or $9,600 for the six-seat version).

According to Genesis, the Luxury Pack had a 95 percent uptake, making the brand’s decision to include it as standard an easy one.

The station wagon is available in six- and seven-seat configurations. The only options available across the range are a rear seat entertainment package and matte paint.

Exterior changes are subtle, with redesigned headlights featuring Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology and an updated grille and bumpers.

The coupe has a slightly different front and rear bumper design, different 22-inch alloy wheels and of course a different roofline.

Inside, there’s a new 27-inch OLED display that includes a digital instrument cluster and an infotainment touchscreen.

Below this is a 6.0-inch touch-sensitive air conditioning interface, while the center console has been redesigned with a new mobile phone charging station, volume control and enlarged cup holders, among other features.

There’s also a new steering wheel design – flat-floored on the coupe – as well as repositioned pedals and a new Bang & Olufsen sound system that replaces the old Lexicon unit.

The coupe offers various interior colors as well as exclusive trim elements made of real carbon instead of the wood and metal inlays of the station wagon.

Genesis has confirmed that the GV80 features a carry-over suspension tune. The pre-facelift model received a modernization in 2023 with software changes to improve body control.

Mechanical changes are minor for 2025 but include upgraded monobloc front brake calipers. The coupe gets a new Sport+ driving mode as well as a Flex Brake function that allows you to customize the responsiveness of the brake pedal.

The range of active safety and driver assistance features has been improved, with Genesis introducing the latest version of features such as Highway Assist and Lane Keeping Assist.
