A security guard was injured outside Drakes Home in Toronto after a shooting on Tuesday, May 7th. The shooting takes place in the middle of Drake’s argument Kendrick Lamar. Police said the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle and the security guard is currently receiving medical treatment at the hospital. According to a Toronto Police Operations post on X (formerly Twitter), there is no description of the suspect.
Police reported the shooting happened shortly after 2 a.m. outside Drake’s home, which was called the “embassy.” A photo of an aerial view of the house was also used as the cover art for Kendrick’s dissident track “Not Like Us”. Integrated Weapons and Gangs Task Force Inspector Paul Krawczyk spoke at a news conference about the shooting. “When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. “The man was taken to hospital in serious condition,” he said. “This individual apparently worked as a security guard at the residence. He was standing at the gate outside the residence when the shooting occurred.”
