Kathy Hilton and Richard Hilton are two proud grandparents! The reality star and hotel mogul spoke to ET’s Denny Director on the 25th edition of An Unforgettable Evening on Wednesday night, paying tribute to Demi Moore and Wallis Annenberg about their ever-expanding family.
Kathy, 65, and Richard, 68, have four children and a whopping eight grandchildren.
“All eight of them. I don’t know how they did it in six years,” Richard joked to ET. “I think they need to buy them a TV.”
“We need to get them a TV or something,” Grandma Kathy agreed.
Kathy noted that her grandchildren were doing “wonderfully” and shared this daughter Paris Hilton and her husband Carter Reum’s two children – son Phoenix, 1, and daughter London, 4 months – both already have a lot of personality.
“Oh yes, even little London, oh my god,” Kathy gushed.
“Very lively,” Richard agreed.
“I mean, the baby is a little older, it’s only four and a half months old, but oh God, yes,” Kathy said.
Richard adds that his grandson Phoenix is “a real tiger.”
In addition to Paris, Kathy and Richard are also parents to daughter Nicky Hilton Rothschild and sons Barron Hilton and Conrad Hilton.
Nicky is mother to daughters Lily-Grace and Teddy and son Chasen. Barron and his wife Tessa have three children – daughter Milou and sons Caspian and Apollo.
While their children are busy dealing with their own children, Kathy and Richard helped raise money for cancer research on Wednesday evening.
“We are so, so close. We are very close to finding a cure,” Kathy shared. “We just did all our blood tests, there’s so much available today… It’s no longer a death sentence. Go in there, get scanned, do your exams and so on.”
The gala, the 25th edition of an unforgettable evening honoring Demi Moore and Wallis Annenberg, will take place at the Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Hotel. Proceeds from the event benefit Women’s Cancer Research, a program of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). ).
Kathy’s sister Kyle Richards also attended the event. in conversation with ET about supporting her daughters amid the ongoing split between her and her estranged husband Mauricio Umansky.
“They have just been the most incredible source of support for me,” Richards said of her four daughters. “It’s funny because I’m the mom, but they give me advice and are just so smart and so together.”
