Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir caught the attention of many when he did not fly to Ireland for the T20I series with his teammates. The Babar Azam-led side will play a three-match series against the Irish team to prepare for the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Mohammad Amir, who was part of the squad, did not get his visa for Dublin. This made his participation in the series questionable. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was in touch with Cricket Ireland on the matter and blamed the host country for the delay as it was their responsibility.
Amid all the saga surrounding his visa woes, a source at Pakistan Cricket has revealed that Mohammad Amir has been granted a visa to Ireland after getting approval. The Pakistan Cricket Board has informed the pacer to board the flight to Ireland. The Pacer may fly to Dublin this evening. Remarkably, the PCB chairman became involved in this matter and thanks to his personal efforts, Amir got the visa.

Mohammad Amir will miss the first game against Ireland but will be available for the final two games. The reports claimed that Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Moshin Naqvi himself apologized to the fast bowler for the visa delay and personally looked into the matter.
Pakistan arrived in Dublin on Wednesday (May 8). The first match of the series will be played at the Clontarf Cricket Club Ground on May 10. Mohammad Amir will not be in contention but is expected to play a crucial role for the team in the last two matches against the Irish national cricket team.
The second T20I will be played on May 12, followed by the final match on May 14. The Pakistan Cricket Team will then travel to England for the T20I series. The two teams will play each other in the four-game series from May 22nd to 30th
Mohammad Amir recently returned to international cricket. He ended his career in December 2020. However, he reversed his decision and made his comeback in the recently concluded T20I series at home against New Zealand national cricket team.
Mohammad Amir picked up three wickets in the series against New Zealand. He looked in great rhythm. The series between the two teams ended in a 2-2 draw and the Pakistan cricket team received a lot of criticism for failing to win at home against the second-tier Kiwi team.
Pakistan would now be keen to make a comeback and get everything right ahead of the 2024 T20 World Cup. They would be eager to win the series against Ireland and England and enter the tournament high on top of the conference.
