Seifert’s blooming innings

At this point, Seifert was in outstanding form, batting fluently for 36 runs off just 20 deliveries. His innings continued to flourish and he top scored for his team with an impressive 52 runs off 33 balls, including 7 fours and 2 sixes. However, despite their valiant effort, New Zealand fell short of the target and were eventually dismissed for 169 runs in the last over of the game, trailing by 9 runs. Seifert’s quick innings gave New Zealand a bright start, but his dismissal in the ninth over sparked a collapse that resulted in the loss of wickets in quick succession.
