Driving is a task that requires extreme caution and patience, especially in India where one has to be careful of obstacles that can appear out of nowhere. There have been several cases where impatient or reckless drivers created chaos on the roads and led to accidents. Here we have a video of a careless Tata Nano driver who lost control while overtaking on a curve and hit a motorcyclist in front of him.

… The video was shared on Reddit and other social media platforms. The exact location is not given, but it appears to be somewhere in Kerala or southern India. Video of this accident was recorded on the dashboard camera of a vehicle traveling on the same road.
There are not many vehicles on the road and it seems like it goes through a village. A few vehicles pass from the opposite direction. As the car continues driving, it curves up a small hill. The clearly visible road markings indicate that overtaking is not permitted.
The car follows the motorcycle while maintaining a safe distance. As the car approaches the curve, a Tata Nano unexpectedly appears from behind. The Nano Twist driver tries to overtake in the curve, but loses control.
The compact hatchback rocks aggressively from side to side as the driver struggles to gain control, but his efforts are in vain. The car eventually overtakes the motorcycle in front. Shortly after passing the bike, the Nano crashes into a coconut tree on the side of the road. The impact damages the front of the car and even sends the rear flying through the air for a few seconds before landing back on the road.
While all this is happening, the biker tries to escape the scene of the accident without getting hurt. However, it seems he isn’t having too much luck. The tail of the Tata Nano hits the biker and the rider loses his balance almost immediately.
He falls onto the street along with his bike. All of this happens in just a few seconds. The car recording the video can stop while maintaining a safe distance. The motorcyclist, who was thrown onto the road as a result of the collision, manages to get off the road to a safer place. Residents quickly approach the car and bike to offer help. A dried coconut palm leaf blocks the path of oncoming vehicles on the opposite lane.
In this case, the Tata Nano driver is to blame. He was too impatient and tried to overtake on a curve. The Tata Nano’s large design makes it prone to loss of control, as evident in this case. The reckless driver not only destroys his vehicle, but also inconveniences other road users and damages other vehicles.
The motorcyclist, who followed lane discipline, also falls victim to this accident. Fortunately, there were not many vehicles on the road and the driver’s injuries are believed to be minor.
