Adam Busby And Danielle Busby had several “growing pains” throughout their marriage – and Season 10 of. OutDaughtered will pull back the curtain even further.
Adam, 41, tells exclusively Us weekly how expanding his job to include work outside the home has affected his and Danielle’s dynamic. The change has also affected how the couple interacts with their six children: daughter Blayke, 13, and quintuplets Ava, Olivia, Hazel, Riley and Parker, 9.
“A lot of the things I do, I’m mostly at home and every now and then I have to fly out for a project or something,” he said of his photographic work. “This season I’m working outside the home and doing a lot of shoots and brand work. So it created some tension in terms of trying to make sure everything was planned and things like that.”
Adam remembered that while working around the house, he didn’t have to “worry” about the family’s shared calendar.
“Now I could go to a photo shoot or a promotional event every day. It’s very different,” he said Us while also promoting the brand new season of the TLC series.
The reality star admitted that his role change “caused some growing pains,” but he feels like the two are “in a much better place, which has sorted things out.”
Not only did Adam and Danielle, 40, have to deal with new work issues, but as their girls grew up, they also had to deal with each being pulled in a different direction.
“This season it was like, ‘Man, okay, how do we do this?’ We have to be in three and four places at the same time,” Adam explained. “We definitely need to find help to help us manage the house and also help a little bit with the kids or take kids to certain places because one of us isn’t there or something.”
Danielle told Us that it was a “huge season” for the family, and Adam added that the “adjustments” took time.
“I’m a partner in the company so things look very different now, but it’s fun,” Adam continued.
Adam confirmed that they had overcome the growing difficulties, but noted that he and Danielle still had “a lot to deal with” with their large brood. “We still have six kids and there’s always something certain,” he teased.
Danielle joked that with all the activities, she’s “definitely loving it.”[s] give me a schedule.”
As the Busbys prepare to welcome viewers back for season 10, they reflect on their wild TV ride that began in 2016. (OutDaughtered follows Adam and Danielle as they raise their quintuplets and their eldest child, Blayke.)
“It’s always been crazy,” Adam said Us. “Just for the ride that we’ve been on and stuff and just for the great fans that we have. The warm welcome we receive at any time of the year is humbling. It blew us away.”
Danielle revealed that she was grateful that the cameras were rolling from the start of her experience as part of the quintuplets. “I just don’t remember much of it, so I’m really glad we got to capture it,” she said. “I just feel like I was sleep deprived and mentally disadvantaged. I literally don’t remember the beginning.”
She added: “I wish I could go back in time and just soak up the little chubby babies I had, because now we’re just chasing ants everywhere.”
Season 10 of OutDaughtered Premieres on TLC on Tuesday, May 7 at 9pm ET.
