Chef Pillai’s success story began at the age of 17 as a waiter at a local restaurant. From then on, he showed his love, passion and talent for the culinary arts. After being driven by his love of cooking, he transitioned from serving to working in the kitchen.

Here he diligently learned the basics of cooking and honed his skills under the guidance of experienced chefs. After working in the industry for a while, it took him to London, where he spent 15 years honing his craft in renowned restaurants.

After returning to India, Chef Pillai decided to channel his expertise and passion into entrepreneurship. He shared the pictures of himself receiving his Mercedes-Benz S-Class on Instagram. In the post he explained: “Dreams are meant to be chased and captured… In my 43 years of life I have never owned a bicycle.” I had no enthusiasm for cars or driving. Even during my 15 years in London, when I could have gotten any good luxury vehicle, I never got one.”

He added: “To this day I have never felt the urge or need for it. But now, with the hectic work schedule and constant traveling, it gets boring without a vehicle! So what’s next? I didn’t have to think long – I just walked across the street to the showroom of everyone’s favorite – the Mercedes-Benz S-Class! Patience and hard work will definitely lead you to the gate of your dreams one day.”

Chef Pillai also bought a Porsche Cayenne

Apart from buying the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Chef Pillai also bought his second luxury car last year. For this, he chose a brand new luxury SUV Porsche Cayenne, which costs Rs 1.42 crore.
