Oliver Hudson Doesn’t Regret Cheating on His Wife Erinn Bartlett

Oliver Hudson reflected on his misconduct in his relationship with his current wife Erin Bartlett.

“When I got engaged, something happened psychologically and I turned around,” Hudson, 47, admitted during a conversation on his “Sibling Revelry” podcast on Tuesday, April 9 Robyn Lively. “I was unfaithful, I cheated and I was crazy.”

He continued: “I never got caught. I told her everything because I couldn’t live with myself at that weight and get married and get married and have kids.”

Hudson and Bartlett, 51, married in 2006 and have three children together: Wilder, 16, Bodhi, 14, and Rio, 10.

Despite his infidelity, Hudson said he doesn’t have “a lot of regret” about his past.

“It was a decision I made, whether it was a positive or a negative one. I’ve made some terrible, terrible decisions in my life in general,” he explained during Tuesday’s podcast. “You might think I regret doing that, but I don’t know who I would be if I didn’t make that decision.”

Hudson praised his wife, calling her a “great woman” as they dealt with his mistake. “I went through everything I went through and we were able to do some kind of therapy and go through it all and get through it all,” he added.

Hudson also said he quickly went to his mother, Goldie Hawnfor advice.

“My mother also played a big part in it. Where it’s about looking at the whole and totality of the relationship, not just the plot,” he recalls. “Although it may seem extreme, let’s delve a little into the question of why and [look] on the whole person and not on this one suffering. Because I am undoubtedly a good man. I’m not malicious and stuff.”

He added: “I just went through what I went through.”

Despite the crisis in their relationship, Hudson and Bartlett are still doing well. The duo previously revealed that they had a “very charged friendship” for a year and a half after meeting in acting class.

“We were in a scene together and immediately I was like, ‘Oh my God, I think I like this girl.’ But I was a good kid,” Hudson recalled Access Hollywood in February 2023 and explained that the timing was incorrect due to their respective relationships with other partners. “Then Super Bowl weekend. Vegas, three nights in Vegas.”

In the same interview, Bartlett admitted that she felt an “immediate” connection with Hudson.
