VANCOUVER, British Columbia, April 25, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — NorthWest Copper Corp. (“NorthWest” or the “Company”) (TSX-V: NWST) is pleased to announce that Maryantonet Flumian has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

Ms. Flumian has spent a career in the Canadian public service at the federal and provincial levels. A former deputy minister in the Canadian federal government and president of the Institute on Governance for ten years, she founded an Indigenous advisory group there to conduct research to enable dialogue on reframing the issues of reconciliation. She lives in Ottawa and now spends most of her time working with Indigenous communities across Canada. She currently spends her time supporting First Nations in British Columbia, where she serves as a governance advisor to numerous First Nations under the auspices of the New Relationship Trust.
