Nikki Glaser was surprised Tom BradyThe willingness to pursue it Kim Kardashian during his live Netflix roast.
The event took place on Sunday night and Kim made a cameo appearance, taking the stage to a series of boos. The moment, which Netflix later removed, went viral.
After Kim made several comments at Tom’s expense, he later took the stage and took a swipe at the reality star, surprising comedian Nikki.
Nikki, who had her own opinion about Tom during the roast, appeared on Tuesday Jimmy Kimmel Live where she discussed the moment.
“One of the moments where I thought, ‘Oh, we can go there!’ “He made a joke about Kim Kardashian, who was there, which I thought was kind of taboo, right?” Nikki explained. “She’s here, she’s had to take enough beating. She’s not on stage, but then he made a joke about it: ‘Are you more afraid of the jokes or the fact that your kids are dating Kanye?’ [West] at the moment?’ A great joke. And I thought, ‘I didn’t even know we could actually go there.'”
Kim separated from ex-husband Kanye West in 2021. They have four children together – North West, 10, Saint West, 8, Chicago West, 6 and Psalm West, almost 5. She has been very open about her concerns about Kanye’s family scandals affecting her children.
Nikki called the roast “intimidating going in,” especially as one of the two comedians on stage.
She previously spoke on SiriusXM The Howard Stern Show around the joke she had skipped Narrated by Tom based on a joint decision by the comedians involved.
“We all collectively decided not to involve his children too much in anything because they didn’t ask for it,” Glaser said, referring to Brady’s three children. “So I couldn’t say, ‘Tom, hopefully we’ll make out at the after party – you can pretend I’m your son.’
And although Tom’s children weren’t discussed, his previous relationships with ex-wife Gisele Bundchen and ex-Bridget Moynahan were considered fair game.
A source previously told ET that “Gisele was upset and hurt by some of the jokes about her and her relationship with her [boyfriend] Joaquim [Valente]and her wedding to Tom during his roast.” The source added: “Her main concern is always her children and her family and she wants to protect them.” She found some of the jokes tasteless and disrespectful.
Nikki spoke to ET before the roast and teased, “He’s going to hear his ex-wife’s name quite a bit and he’s going to hear what she’s up to these days.”
