Kim Kardashian Was was met with boos during Sunday night’s live Netflix roast Tom Brady. However, viewers who tune in now to see the edited version on Netflix will find that the audience’s ridicule has been hidden.
Just two days later Kevin Hart provided The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, the streaming service booed for a few seconds and lowered the volume for part of Kardashian’s segment. ET has reached out to Netflix for comment on the changes to the comedy special.
The 43-year-old reality TV star and businesswoman originally took the stage to extremely mixed reactions: some audience members cheered and clapped for her, while others loudly expressed their disapproval of her appearance.
“Alright, alright,” she said at the time, acknowledging the raucous crowd. Hart, 44, even popped up on his own microphone to tell viewers to calm down.
In the new version, however, Kardashian doesn’t respond to the now-defunct taunts and launches straight into her jokes about Brady, 46, Hart and even her own family.
During her roast set also the mother of four children addressed their alleged romance for the first time with Brady.
“I’m really here for Tom tonight,” she said while holding a glass of champagne. “I didn’t want to come tonight, but since I’m not here as Tom’s date, there’s still a good chance I will.”
Kardashian continued, “Speaking of Tom and I dating, I know there have been some rumors about us being together and I would never say if we were or not, I would just release the tape.”
At the end of the night, Brady — friend, teammate and comedian alike — sat still, looking deeply uncomfortable for more than two hours roasted him mercilessly – took revenge on each of those who stood up to make fun of him, including Kardashian.
“I know Kim was terrified to be here tonight,” Brady joked, before referring to her ex-husband. Kanye West. “Not because of that, but because her children are at home with their father.”
Earlier in the night, ET spoke to Brady from the carpet of the event, communicating that he was unprepared for what was to come – including vicious taunts from Hart, Rob Gronkowski, Nikki Glaser and more.
“I’m going to take it for an hour and 20 minutes, so I think when I get up there I might be in tears or my head will hurt from laughing so hard,” Brady said. “Hopefully it’s just a fun night and I get some good stuff.”
Someone who probably didn’t find some of the punch lines funny? Brady’s ex-wife, Gisele Bündchenwho recognized herself as that The target of many jokes.
On Tuesday, a source told ET“Gisele was upset and hurt by some of the jokes about her and her relationship with her [boyfriend] Joaquim [Valente]and her wedding to Tom during his roast.
The source added: “Her main concern is always her children and family and she wants to protect them. She found some of the jokes to be tasteless and disrespectful.”
