Graphic India, the leader in original Indian-themed character entertainment, and Neil Gaiman, the NYT bestselling author and creator of films and series including: Coraline (Nominated for the Oscar, Best Animated Film), The Sandman, American Gods And Good omensannounced that they are collaborating on a new English-language animated film. Cinnamon. The screenplay is based on a short story written by Gaiman and is adapted by Gaiman and Indian animation writer and creator Sharad Devarajan, starring Sarena Khan and Sujatha SV. The film is directed by renowned Indian animator Jeevan J. Kang.
Neil Gaiman collaborates with Graphic India for animated film Cinnamon
Cinnamon was born with beady eyes that blind her to the physical world, and her fate is forever determined when a mysterious talking tiger appears. Offering to guide her through the wonders and trials of the wilderness, Cinnamon begins a dangerous adventure that will shape her path and test her resolve. Previously, Devarajan and Kang at Graphic India (directed by Kang) created and produced the animated hit “The Legend of Hanuman”, which broke records as the most successful animated project in Indian history and reached #1 on the Disney+Hotstar charts upon its release.
The film is produced by Neil Gaiman and Cat Mihos for The Blank Corporation and Sharad Devarajan, Sarena Khan and Jeevan J. Kang are producing for Graphic India, which is also the production studio animating the project and India’s leading original content animation studio.
