Monday evening marked the unexpected end NCIS: Hawaii after three seasons. After the show was canceled by CBS Last month, viewers watched the series’ cliffhanger conclusion, “Divided We Conquer,” in Monday’s finale.
The procedural lead Vanessa Lachey as Jane Tennant and Alex Tarrant as Kai Holman, was part of the success NCIS franchise that has a variety of spin-offs.
So how did it happen? NCIS: Hawaii End? The team, consisting of Jane (Lachey), Jesse Boone (Noah Mills) and Sam Hanna (LL Cool J), several attempts by Dr. To thwart Annalize Cruz (Rachel Mars) from using the bioweapon Compound X.

The group then throws a surprise party for Sam with some poignant speeches. But that’s not how the episode ends. The previously announced cliffhanger comes when Jane (Lachey) goes home expecting to find her daughter Julie (Mahina Napoleon). But Maggie Shaw (Julie White) is waiting for her. Maggie was last seen on the run in the series’ second season finale.
“You’ll probably need a drink for what’s next,” Maggie tells Jane before the show ends.
The cast has already expressed their disappointment over the unexpected cancellation of the show.
Earlier this month, Lachey posted a video of herself at a beautiful location in Hawaii and wrote, “I wish we had more time, I’m sorry we don’t. I wish we had said goodbye properly, I do.” “I’m sorry we didn’t,” she added. “I know that we are ALL connected more deeply than any television show. I will go to the ends of the earth for my cast and crew! If you come across ANY of them…hire them! You will not be disappointed. Salt of the Earth.” People!”
NCIS: Hawaii was the fourth spin-off for the NCIS Franchise – that New Orleans And The angel The versions ended in 2021 and 2023 respectively – and the first with a woman at the helm.
Overall, however, the franchise is a success. NCIS And NCIS: Sydney were both renewed for their 22nd and 2nd seasons respectively. There are also a spin-off in the works at Paramount+, we’ll see Cote de Pablo And Michael Weatherly Reprising their fan-favorite roles as Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo.
When ET spoke to Lachey about her role in ” Hawaii already in February, she gushed about being “a part of this incredible franchise” that aired 1000th episode earlier this moth.
“To be the newcomer – the baby after three seasons – and to be able to celebrate 1,000 episodes of a television show, I don’t know if people really realize what a huge accomplishment that is,” Lachey told ET. “…I’m just honored and constantly humbled and very grateful. But I don’t take it for granted either.”
