Mrunal Thakur Talks About Freezing Her Eggs, Remembers Worst Days and ‘didn’t Even Want to Get Up’

Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur is known for speaking her heart out about every little thing. She prefers to be real in this seemingly perfect world influenced by social media. Mrunal once shared a candid picture of herself with tears in her eyes on her Instagram stories, showing her moments of vulnerability. Now, Mrunal opened up about how she felt deep down on certain days and revealed how she felt after being the subject of body shaming.

Mrunal Thakur talks about the lowest days of her life

In an interview with Humans of Bombay, Mrunal Thakur spoke about her lowest moments in life when she struggled to even get out of bed. Recalling this, the actress shared that she didn’t even feel the desire to wake up but decided to make an effort. She also mentioned that no one except her family cared about her at that point, adding:

“There were days I didn’t want to wake up, I didn’t want to get out of my bed, but I did. Not for others, but for me. I feel bad for a day, two days, three days, weeks, months, but no one but your family will care. That’s why I think it’s so important to remind ourselves that if there are bad days, there will be good days. So that was just proof that there are days when it’s completely normal to not feel well.”

Mrunal Thakur on being a victim of body shaming

Mrunal also spoke about being an advocate for body positivity and shared that she is trolled because of her pear-shaped body. She shared that she used to be afraid of wearing body-hugging outfits and crop tops, but now things have changed for her. Mrunal mentioned how people believe in the Kardashians’ beauty standards and appreciated the curvaceous bodies of Indian women. She said:

“I am going to change this standard of beauty by flaunting my curves. I used to be so afraid of wearing anything form-fitting. But now I’m thinking, “Close to the body?” Bring it on. And crop tops? Bring it on. Why do we need Kardashians to set beauty standards? Every Indian woman walking the streets, they are so curvy, they are so beautiful.”


Mrunal Thakur reveals that she is thinking about freezing her eggs

The Sita Ram The actress also spoke about her opinion on relationships and finding the right partner in life. Reflecting on actress Mona Singh’s decision to freeze her eggs, Mrunal said that she would also like to think about adopting the same procedure. In her words:

“Relationships, I know it’s hard but that’s why you need the right partner who understands what the nature of your job is. Freezing the eggs, yes, I’m thinking about that too.”

Mrunal Thakurs’ mother’s reaction to her decision to freeze her eggs

Previously, Mrunal Thakur made an appearance on the second episode of Bumble’s YouTube channel and debunked many myths that exist in our society. During the conversation, the actress talked about her plans to have a baby and become a mother. She said that sometimes she feels the need to have a baby and sometimes she wants to freeze her eggs. Talking about how much she supported her mother in her decision to embrace motherhood, Mrunal shared:

“There are times when I feel like I want to have a baby. But my mother surprisingly said that it was okay if I wanted to freeze my eggs or be a single mother. And I thought, “Wow, Mom, that’s great.”
