Mohammad Amir Banned from Ireland? UK Refuses Visa to Contaminated Pacer!!

The Pakistan national cricket team suffered a major blow ahead of the upcoming three-match T20I series against the Irish national cricket team in away conditions. Pakistan left-arm fast bowler Mohammad Amir will not travel to Ireland with his national team-mates due to visa issues.

Mohammad Amir retired from international cricket in December 2020, citing psychological torture. However, he reversed his decision before the recent series against New Zealand and rejoined the national team. He took three wickets in four matches at an economy rate of 8.32.

Pakistan cricket team led by Babar Azam is scheduled to play a three-match T20I series against Ireland. The first match will take place on May 10th at the Clontarf Cricket Club Ground in Dublin, followed by two further matches at the same venue on May 12th and 14th respectively.

Mohammad Amir faces visa delay

The men in green are scheduled to leave for Ireland on Tuesday May 7th as planned. However, Mohammad Amir will not be traveling due to visa issues. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) remains optimistic that the pacer’s visa matters will be resolved soon and he will join the national team.

Amir has previously faced visa delays, particularly during Pakistan’s tours of Ireland and England in 2018. This latest issue potentially disrupts team preparations ahead of the 2024 T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the USA in June.

Following the Ireland tour, the Pakistan cricket team will first play a four-match series against England, which is their last appearance before the World Cup. The Men in Green travel to the USA for the ICC tournament.

Have repented for this big mistake – Mohammad Amir

Mohammad Amir urged people to put his previous spot-fixing mistake behind him. He highlighted the nine years lost to bans and retirement. He also defended his and Imad Wasim’s selection for the T20 format, citing their performances in the PSL and other leagues.

“I have repented for this big mistake and if you look at my career, I was suspended from 2010 to 2015 and retired from 2020 to 2024, so I lost nine years, but I accept everything as God’s will and am moved on.” “ Amir told Pakistani journalist Hafiz Mohammad Imran on his YouTube channel.

“There has been a lot of criticism from some people about me and Imad being selected without playing domestic cricket. I ask her what Pakistan’s premier domestic T20 event is. The PSL. And both of us (Imad) have played and played in the PSL. “Apart from the fact that we perform regularly in other leagues, so what’s wrong with selecting us for the T20 format?” he added.
