A small facelift and equipment update for the 2024 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport coincided with price increases across the SUV range, ranging from $1,600 to $2,400.
The update comes after the Pajero Sport for the Thai market was updated in March, with the Australian upgrades largely in line with those overseas.
These include a new front grille insert and lower bumper trim, as well as new alloy wheel designs and a revised rear bumper.
There are also changes in the cabin: the three-spoke steering wheel of the new Triton ute replaces the outdated four-spoke steering wheel of the Pajero Sport.
Mitsubishi has eliminated the rear-wheel drive Pajero Sport variants and now only offers all-wheel drive.
This has seen the SUV’s starting price rise by $6,600 to $51,540 before on-road costs in the base five-seater version of the GLX – the price itself has increased by $1,600.
Prices for the GLS, Exceed and GSR have also increased by $1,700, $1,900 and $2,400 respectively, with the flagship grade now starting at $64,840 before on-road costs.
The 2024 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is now available in local showrooms.

Powertrains
The 2024 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is powered exclusively by one 2.4 liter four-cylinder turbo diesel enginewhat produces 133kW of power and 430 Nm Torque.
The drive is via an eight-speed automatic transmission and permanent all-wheel drive with selectable low and high range gears and a limited-slip differential on the rear axle on all four wheels.
Efficiency
Mitsubishi claims fuel consumption of 8.0L/100km on the combined ADR city and highway bike for the Pajero Sport.
It is equipped with a 68 liter fuel tank.

Maintenance and warranty
The 2024 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport requires maintenance every 12 months or 15,000 km, whichever comes first.
Mitsubishi’s standard warranty covers five years or 100,000 km of driving, but you can extend this to 10 years or 200,000 km provided the vehicle is serviced on time by a Mitsubishi dealer.
Information on maximum maintenance prices is not yet available for MY24 vehicles. However, below are the prices for ’23 examples.

Security
The 2024 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is not currently rated by ANCAP as its five-star rating from 2015 expired after six years.
All copies of the Pajero Sport are equipped with the following safety features as standard:
