Miranda Cosgrove is known for having a clear public persona – no scandals, breakups or anything else that celebrities have had to deal with in public. Before she turns 31 this month, Miranda explained hustle and bustle how her drama-free image is tied to her famous Nickelodeon show, iCarly.
“In some ways I’m not completely out of gaming yet [Carly]” she said in the interview published on Friday, May 10. “A lot of people think that’s exactly what I’m like.” As the publication pointed out, iCarly Fans don’t have to give up hope for their favorite show. Miranda recently expressed that she would like to give the series a worthy conclusion with a film.
One of the most memorable – and viral – moments of Miranda’s career was when she said on camera that her favorite curse word was “f**k,” which sparked an internet firestorm. As a result, many fans are convinced that she is the same type of “good girl” as Carly Shay. However, her reputation no longer bothers Miranda as much as it did when she was younger.
“Now that I’m older, it doesn’t bother me as much,” she told the publication. “But there’s still a little part of me that says, ‘It would be nice if people could see me in a different light.'”

“I like my little bubble and my life, so I’m really torn about how much should I post on social media? How much should I really want people to know about me?” she explained. “Maybe it’s nice that people only think one thing about me [for]and at least it’s a beautiful thing, and then I can live my life inside.”
In addition to her career, Miranda also spoke about how she dealt with a past trauma: her stalking incident in 2016. At that time, a man set himself on fire in the yard of her home, a place that is still unsafe for her fatally shot himself.
“That’s another reason I go to my parents’ house so often,” Miranda admitted. “I just don’t feel particularly safe in this house. I wouldn’t really stay there for two years after it happened. Then I got into a relationship and because that person was with me, I was less afraid. But I don’t really like being there alone.”
