MI vs SRH: MS Dhoni Can’t Teach Me… – Hardik Pandya

Under fire Mumbai Indians Captain Hardik Pandya has revealed that even MS Dhoni cannot teach him what failures in the last two months as MI captain have taught him.

Hardik Pandya made these comments during a recent conversation with Star Sports, expressing the things that are close to his heart. The all-rounder will be in action later tonight Sunrisers Hyderabad Visit the Wankhede Stadium to watch the 55th match against Mumbai Indians.

Hardik Pandya talks about responsibility

Speaking to Star Sports, Hardik Pandya explained why he likes to lead from the front and why he loves taking on greater responsibility. Pandya claimed that he has always been someone who loved taking responsibility. This makes him feel like a certain thing becomes his own and becomes much more personal.

And when things get personal, they start to become a lot more important, and with that comes a lot of seriousness. Hardik Pandya further claimed that taking responsibility means that in case of mistakes one can actually admit them and that this gives a person a chance to improve and learn.

Hardik Pandya claimed that failure is a very good thing that teaches a person many things that he never knew before. The all-rounder then explained that even the greatest idols and inspirational personalities cannot teach what is learned through failure. He then mentioned MS Dhoni in this context and claimed that even he couldn’t teach him what failure can do.

“As far as responsibility goes, I’ve always been someone who wanted responsibility because when you own your stuff, it kind of becomes more personal to you.”

“So for me it was always about admitting my mistake and at the same time taking those opportunities, maybe failing and learning from them. This is an experience that no one can teach you – not your closest confidant, not your idol, to some extent not even “Mahi Bhai (MS Dhoni) when he was there,” Hardik Pandya said on Star Sports.

It goes without saying that Hardik Pandya has learned a lot from the 2024 IPL season as the new captain of Mumbai Indians. The first thing he may have learned is that replacing someone like Rohit Sharma as the leader of the team is not easy.

The second thing he may have learned is that he shouldn’t have left the Gujarat Titans like that, even though he once won the IPL as captain. Thirdly, it will be about how to deal with the players in the dressing room who are used to Rohit Sharma’s instructions.

The fourth and final thing is that he now knows very well who supported him on this difficult path and who criticized him along the way.

Pandya will be in action against SRH tonight

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya’s Mumbai Indians will be in action this evening as they welcome Sunrisers Hyderabad to the Wankhede Stadium this evening. In their last meeting this season, SRH handed MI a heavy defeat at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium and it remains to be seen whether Mumbai can win tonight.
