Veteran Mumbai Indians (MI) leg-spinner Piyush Chawla showed off his presence in the 55th match of the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday, May 6 best result.
Piyush Chawla picked up the top three wickets in the innings as he dismissed Travis Head, Heinrich Klaasen and Abdul Samad – all three batters who have won matches for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier (IPL).
The best of the three wickets picked by Piyush Chawla was Heinrich Klaasen as he rattled the South African batsman’s stumps. It is noteworthy that Piyush Chawla enjoyed great success against Heinrich Klaasen in the IPL as he dismissed the batter twice in 4 innings while giving away just 29 runs.
On the first ball of the 13th over, Piyush Chawla hit a 91.9km/h delivery towards the stumps and Klaasen hit big. The batsman only managed to reach an inside edge and saw his stumps go into disarray. After dismissing the batsman, Piyush Chawla looked quite upset and he was seen saying an insulting word – Behe****d.

During the half-time break, Piyush Chawla said that a lot of dew had already come in the first innings. Chawla added that after a few games, he had an idea about what length he should bowl. Piyush Chawl explained:
“It’s not that captivating because a lot of dew has already penetrated. There is a lot of help available for sailors. This season, batsmen try it when they see the ball tipped up a bit, even if they are new to the crease.” – I didn’t realize that in the first few games, but later I realized it wasn’t like that will be easy to bowl, we still have to bat well. In the end, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) ended their innings with a score of 173/8. The two top performers in the batting department for SRH were Travis Head (48) and Pat Cummins (35).
Notably, this is the second time these two teams will face each other in the current edition of the competition. The first meeting between the two teams was an absolutely high-scoring game with SRH emerging victorious by 31 runs on March 27.
Since that game, Sunrisers Hyderabad have put in great performances, but Mumbai Indians have continued to deteriorate and are on the verge of being eliminated from the playoff race.
