So let’s start with that Ghostrunner 2. It’s a brutally difficult first-person slasher with fast-paced traversal mechanics reminiscent of games like… Mirror edge. You’ll die a lot, our reviewer died 164 times in a level, and you’ll probably love every second of it. Going under isn’t that big of a problem since there are checkpoints almost everywhere and you can instantly respawn with the press of a button. It’s also great fun, offering a “satisfying gameplay loop that’s hard to break away from.”
tunic is somehow both critically acclaimed and underrated. This isometric top-down adventure with gameplay reminiscent of old-school Zelda adventures. You simply immerse yourself in the world and are tasked with exploring it. The puzzles are difficult and the battles can be even tougher. It’s almost as polished as a Nintendo title and the protagonist is a cute fox. What’s not to love?
