Mahindra XUV700 Blaze Edition Launched for Rs. 24.24 Lakh

If you are planning to buy a Mahindra XUV700, you should definitely check out the Blaze edition of this SUV. Mahindra has just launched the XUV700 Blaze Edition – an SUV that gets a unique color and numerous interior changes. Prices for the Blaze Edition start at Rs 24.24 lakh, ex-showroom. Mahindra has launched the 26.04 lakh rupees.

Starting with the exterior, the most significant change is the color of the car. The XUV700 Blaze Edition is available in a unique two-tone paint finish. The exterior features a matte red color along with Mahindra’s own Napoli Black roof, ORVMs, grille and black alloys. All of the car’s pillars are also blacked out, giving the impression of a floating roofline. Mahindra calls this color “Matte Blaze Red”.

The XUV700 Blaze Edition features an all-black interior design. To increase visual appeal, several red inserts were added to the interior, such as red stitching on the seat upholstery, red trim around the center console and air conditioning vents. No additional features are offered in the Blaze Edition.

Key features of the Blaze Edition include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 6-way power driver’s seat, an audio system with up to twelve speakers, a panoramic sunroof, dual Zoned climate control, ventilated front seats and built-in Alexa connectivity.

Under the hood, the XUV700 offers two powerful engine options. The first is a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine that delivers an impressive 197 PS of power at 5,000 rpm and 380 Nm of torque at 1,750-3,000 rpm. The turbo petrol engine is a very quiet and refined unit. While it doesn’t rev to high revs like typical petrol engines, it has solid low and mid-range performance, making the XUV700 quite peppy.

Alternatively, consumers can opt for the 2.2 liter diesel engine, which is available in the higher performance level: 182 HP – 450 Nm. Most buyers who opt for the XUV700 opt for the diesel, which is one of the most refined units on the market. The torque is particularly high with the diesel engine because it is more economical than the gasoline engine. Both engines are paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. All variants of the XUV700 Blaze Edition feature front-wheel drive.

The regular XUV700 starts at Rs. 13.99 lakh for the base MX variant and goes up to Rs. 26.99 lakh for the top-of-the-line AX7L AT AWD (AX7 luxury package with all-wheel drive and automatic transmission).

In addition, the XUV700 offers numerous safety features such as up to seven airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), ISOFIX anchors, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a 360-degree camera. The top-end variant also comes with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control.

Like other variants of the XUV700, the Blaze Edition competes with Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar and the upcoming Toyota Hyryder 7-seater and Grand Vitara 7-seater.
