The images of the XUV e.9 were shared by Rahul Autospy on his Instagram page. The fully camouflaged test mule looks more like the production version. The main attraction of the upcoming XUV e.9 is the coupe-like design. This design is trendy again, and many other manufacturers also offer coupe-style models.

The production version of the XUV e.9 is similar to the concept that Mahindra introduced a few years ago. The front of the SUV gets an upright radiator grille and bumper. The SUV is expected to get an LED light bar that runs the entire width of the hood. Since this is an electric vehicle, the front grille is completely closed and recesses are provided in the lower part of the bumper.

The headlights can be seen here in the pictures. The SUV will feature vertically stacked projector LED units. From the image shown here, the headlight cluster is likely to get a triangular design with a fold-down LED daytime running light integrated into it. The image also shows the side view of the electric SUV.

It is equipped with an alloy wheel with an aerodynamic design. Many car manufacturers do this to reduce drag and improve overall range. The front door handles are not visible in the images, which means the SUV will most likely get flush door handles which we first saw on the XUV700.

The rear door handles are neatly integrated into the C-pillar next to the side window. The sloping roof design with a smaller spoiler and a high-mounted brake light can also be seen here. The shark fin antenna is also visible. The sloping roof meets the rear window, which meets the taillight.

Just like the front, the rear also has LED taillights with an LED strip that runs across the width of the vehicle. The reversing light is mounted below the tailgate next to the reflector. The bumper has space for a license plate, but on this test vehicle the license plate is on the tailgate. The electric SUV from Mahindra is said to come with premium features. The dashboard is expected to get a three-screen setup, we also expect a two-spoke steering wheel, ADAS, leatherette upholstery, multi-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors. and so forth.

Mahindra XUV e.9 is based on the INGLO platform. This is a skateboard platform that we would see in most upcoming Mahindra electric vehicles. Technical specifications of the SUV are not yet confirmed; However, we expect this electric SUV to come with a battery pack with a range of 450-500 km and a powerful single or dual motor setup, depending on the variant.

The XUV e.9 is expected to be launched next year. Expected launches from Mahindra this year include the XUV 3XO and the Mahindra Thar 5-door. Unlike the Mahindra XUV e.9. Tata Curvv and Citroen Basalt will also have a coupe-like design.
