Mahindra XUV 3XO: Teaser Video Reveals Fuel Efficiency and Acceleration Time

Mahindra’s upcoming SUV, the XUV 3XO or the facelifted XUV300, is scheduled to launch on April 29. Mahindra has released several teaser images and videos of the upcoming SUV and we have also seen spy images of the production-ready version of the XUV 3XO SUV. We now have a video showing the XUV 3XO’s performance and fuel efficiency as well as its interiors.

The video was shared by Mahindra on their YouTube channel. In this video we see the interior of the upcoming Mahindra SUV. The all-black cabin design is similar to what Mahindra has with the EV Stop, a multi-function steering wheel and a redesigned center console.

In this video we also see air conditioning buttons, the automatic transmission shifter and the air conditioning vents. The cabin gets a two-tone design of black and ice gray. The instrument cluster on the XUV 3XO is a fully digital unit, the same unit first seen on the XUV700.

This video provides more details about the upcoming SUV. The instrument cluster displays details such as the speedometer and tachometer. There is a gap between the digital dials where further information about the vehicle is displayed. Like the XUV700 and the Scorpio N, the XUV 3XO is offered with Zip, Zap, Zoom driving modes.

The teaser also reveals that the 0-60 km/h acceleration of the upcoming SUV will be 4.7 seconds. The SUV will also have a claimed fuel efficiency of 20.1 kmph, which is likely to be for the diesel version as driving modes from Mahindra are usually only offered in the diesel variants. The SUV will also come with 6 airbags and auto-dimming IRVM.

Earlier this month, Mahindra announced that they will be ditching the XUV300 name for the SUV and renaming the compact SUV as XUV 3XO. It is the facelifted version of the XUV300 and will compete with models like Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza and Hyundai Venue in this segment.

The front and rear of the SUV have been completely redesigned. The headlights on the XUV 3XO look completely different than the previous model, with vertically stacked units and two projector units. Also visible are the inverted ā€œCā€ shaped LED daytime running lights with a drop-down design. The LED daytime running lights should be a dual-function unit that also serves as a turn signal.

The bumper and front grill have also been redesigned. The side profile of the SUV is similar to that of the XUV300. At the rear we have a redesigned bumper, LED taillights with connecting LED strips on the tailgate as well as reversing sensors and camera. According to reports, there is a possibility of Mahindra introducing Level 2 ADAS with the XUV 3XO. In this case, it would be the first SUV in its segment to have these features, as Kia Sonet and Hyundai Verna only offer Level 1 ADAS features.

The Mahindra All three engine options are offered with a manual gearbox and only the standard turbo petrol and diesel engines get an AMT gearbox option.
